Baby Story
Billy looked at his big sister with a frown. “I don’t want to go to this St. Patrick’s Day party,” he grumbled. “It’s gonna be boring.”
Sarah giggled. “Don’t worry, it’ll be fun! There’s music, Irish dancing, and even a contest to find the best green outfit.”
“So? That stuff’s for babies,” Billy insisted.
Sarah poked him in the ribs. “Then what’s a cool kid like you gonna do?”
Billy thought for a moment. “Jokes! I know tons! Hey, wanna hear one?”
Sarah shrugged. “Sure, why not?”
Billy grinned. “How do you make a Kleenex dance?” He waited a second, then burst out, “Put a little boogie in it!”
Sarah started to laugh. “Oh, Billy, that’s terrible! It’s so bad it’s actually good!” She wiped away a tear. “Come on, let’s get ready. If you tell enough awful jokes, maybe you’ll win a prize!”
Billy beamed, suddenly excited for the party. Who knew making people groan could be so much fun?
